When you visit, be sure to see the "Dunes Discovery Center". This has a lot of information and displays about the history of the nearby sand dunes and plant and animal life which thrive in the protected region. Also, be sure to visit nearby Avila Hot Springs where you can have a relaxing time soaking up the healthful mineral water.
