Paso Robles is the very heart of the Central Coast wine country and has many wineries. This is also the home of the Mid State Fair , an annual attraction for all the neighboring communities. If you are in the neighborhood in late July or early August, don't forget to consider this.

There are a lot of special events downtown at the park, or you can head out to do a little wine tasting at one of the local wineries. You'll also find plenty of shopping around town.
Note: it does get rather warm in the summer. If you love real summer weather, you will love it here!
